Back in July, I decided to add one more challenge to my year without beer – to run 500 miles before the year ends.
Let’s not forget that until June of this year the only thing I ever ran was a bath, so 500 miles in 6 months is a BIG ask. Based on my early runs I was unsure I would manage this challenge, but as I am a firm believer that if you don’t set yourself goals you will never achieve them I figured I’d give it a go anyway. Now less than 3 months since I started running I have not only completed my first race, but I have also passed the half way point on my 500 mile challenge.
There is now just over 6 weeks until my next race – the 10 mile Great South Run. Oh, and my mum’s other half has started calling me Forrest Gump! (Run Forrest Run…)
