Cystic Fibrosis A Race We Must WinRegular readers will know that after completing a year without all alcohol in 2012 for Cancer Research UK and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, my self imposed challenge this year is to complete 2013 self powered miles by the end of 2013.

4 Months Done!

So far this year I have completed my first 3 official half marathons. In March I completed eh the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon and the Warwick Castle Half Marathon but in April I scored a new personal best when I completed the Plymouth Half Marathon. In total, this month I’ve completed 192.1 miles, comprised of:

  • 85.5 miles of running
  • 106.6 miles of cycling

My running total mileage for the year so far is 784.5 miles, broken down as follows:

  • 413.2 miles of running
  • 336.6 miles of cycling
  • 24.8 miles of rowing
  • 4.7 miles on an elliptical trainer
  • 3.1 miles of walking
  • 2.1 miles of swimming

Can you sponsor me?

The first person to commit to sponsoring my 2013 mile challenge pledged 1p per mile (£20.13 in total) and this got me thinking. I am hoping that as many as possible of those reading this will commit to do the same and the best thing is, if each person does this on a “pay as you go” type approach all you will need to part with is approx £2 just after each pay day. In April I completed 192.1 miles, so if you can please spare £1.92 to help the Cystic Fibrosis Trust it will be greatly appreciated.

If you didn’t sponsor me in January, February or March and you want to ‘play catch up’ then the total miles so far equates to a donation of £7.85.

The easiest way to give your sponsorship is to visit my Just Giving page:

Big thanks to all who are showing their support.
